unFIT Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

unFIT ("the app") is a workout, nutrition, and health tracking app. This page explains what data the app works with and how it's handled. In short: your data stays on your device (and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account) — we don't run a server, we don't see your data, and we don't sell or share it with anyone.

Health Data

With your permission, unFIT reads and writes data in Apple Health, including weight, body fat percentage, steps, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, lean body mass, and active energy burned. This data is used only to power the app's own dashboard, trends, and workout tracking. It is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Photos

If you use the camera to log a meal photo or a progress photo, that image is stored locally on your device as part of the app's own data. It is not uploaded anywhere.

Food, Workout, and Other App Data

Meals, recipes, workout logs, weight entries, body measurements, and everything else you enter into unFIT is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device data storage. If you enable iCloud sync, this data syncs across your own devices via your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's iCloud privacy terms — we do not have access to it.

Third-Party Search Features

Some optional features — searching a food database, scanning a barcode, finding workout videos, or looking up a YouTube channel — send your search text to third-party services (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, and the YouTube Data API) using an API key you provide yourself in Settings. No other personal information is included in these requests. These third parties' own privacy policies govern how they handle that data.

What We Don't Do

Children's Privacy

unFIT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data from your device. You can revoke Health access separately in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > unFIT.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
